Editorial Process
Every article published on Creatine.my goes through a rigorous multi-step editorial process designed to ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
1. Research Phase
All content begins with primary source research. Our writers consult peer-reviewed journals indexed on PubMed, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and position stands from recognised bodies such as the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).
2. Writing Standards
We maintain strict writing standards: every factual claim must be supported by at least one peer-reviewed study. When consensus exists (such as the ISSN Position Stand on creatine), we cite the consensus document. When evidence is emerging or contested, we clearly state the level of certainty.
3. Dual-Editor Review
Before publication, every article is reviewed by at least two team members. The first reviewer checks scientific accuracy — are the studies cited correctly? Are the conclusions justified? The second reviewer checks clarity and readability — will an everyday Malaysian reader understand this?
4. Ongoing Updates
Science evolves. We regularly revisit published articles when significant new research emerges. Every article shows its last-updated date, and we maintain a policy of updating content within 30 days of any major new finding in the creatine literature.
Our Methodology
- Primary source research from PubMed and peer-reviewed journals
- Cross-referencing claims with systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Dual-editor review process for accuracy and clarity
- Regular content updates as new research emerges
- Malaysian market price and availability verification
Research Foundation
Our content is built on a foundation of over 500 peer-reviewed studies spanning three decades of creatine research. We maintain a curated research library with detailed summaries of the most important studies, including landmark papers such as:
- Harris et al. (1992) — the foundational study on creatine loading in humans
- Kreider et al. (2017) — the ISSN Position Stand reviewing 500+ studies
- Rawson & Venezia (2011) — the comprehensive review of creatine and cognition
- Avgerinos et al. (2018) — the systematic review of creatine and brain function
- Branch (2003) — the meta-analysis of creatine and body composition
